About Josh
Josh Witt is a Boston-based vocalist and performer bringing the spirit of 1950s rock ’n’ roll and doo wop into the present day with heart, harmony, and high-energy style. Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Josh has spent over two decades captivating audiences with a sound rooted in vintage influence and driven by genuine passion.
Josh began performing at just eight years old, and by nine was already turning heads with a show-stopping, “screamin’” rendition of Great Balls of Fire. That early spark never faded—instead, it grew into a lifelong dedication to music, performance, and the timeless power of vocal harmony.
A graduate of Berklee College of Music, where he studied vocal performance, Josh has developed a refined yet soulful style inspired by the Beach Boys, classic 1950s vocal groups, 1960s girl groups, Motown, and soul. Whether performing solo under his own name or alongside his band, Josh and the Wittness, he brings versatility to the stage—ranging from full band shows to tight-knit doo wop a cappella performances.
At the core of Josh’s artistry is a relentless pursuit of the “perfect” harmony—that blissful, transportive blend of voices that defines the golden era he loves. His performances are marked by energy, grit, and emotional authenticity, shaped by years of experience and a deep connection to the music he performs.
Whether it’s an intimate set or a lively crowd, Josh Witt delivers a sound that feels both nostalgic and alive—keeping the golden age of rock ’n’ roll and doo wop not just remembered, but truly felt.
